The NBA Playoffs begin tomorrow and Les Boulez are playing LeTravel and the Cavs again. The Bullets should win this series in 6, provided the refs don’t hand Queen James the series (See 2006).

The Caps are Going to the Playoffs!!!!!

I’ll keep this short since others in cyberspace have done a much better job of discussing this, but the Washington Capitals are going to the playoffs!!! I never thought that they’d pull it off, especially after that pitiful performance against Atlanta before Thanksgiving. But Ovechkin (who should easily win the Hart Trophy for Most Valuable Player), Bruce Boudreau (who should win the Adams for Coach of the Year), and George McPhee (sadly there’s no award for GM of the year) have done a tremendous job turning the team around. Bring on Philly!!

Here’s something to get you psyched up for the Flyers in the first round.

Duck Fuke

My alma mater, Cornell, is playing Duke tonight at Cameron. I HATE Duke. They are number 2 on my list of my most hated teams, behind the Pittsburgh Penguins (which will be discussed on another post). But I’m a realist and know that the Red have no chance of winning tonight. I’d be happy if they covered the spread (+29.5). If the game is competitive, it means that the pundits were right and Cornell will go dancing in March. At least Cornell’s getting paid to for their troubles.
